Nancy Sharp

Nancy Sharp is the award-winning author of the memoir Both Sides Now, and a keynote speaker who frequently presents to groups and businesses about loss, gain, and BOLD Living™. Teeming with wisdom, boldness and just the right dose of humor, Nancy delivers keynotes that leave audiences with practical tools to move beyond adversity and the “gray” of life—toward narratives of their own making. Appearances include New York’s 92nd Street Y, Miami Book Fair International, Centura Health, EPIC Experience, Rocky Mountain Palliative Care & Hospice Conference, Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce, the Arapahoe Library District, R. J. Julia Booksellers, Fairfield University Bookstore, Books & Books, the Association of Death Education Counseling (ADEC), and the American Academy of Psychotherapists (AAP). Both Sides Now: A True Story of Love, Loss, and Bold Living is the recipient of eight literary awards, including the prestigious Books For A Better Life and the Colorado Book Award. Her work has also been featured in The Best Advice in Six Words. Forthcoming is a children's picture book about loss and yearning for young readers, and a nonfiction book for adults about boldness. Nancy holds an MFA in Creative Nonfiction from Goucher College and writes regularly for The Huffington Post and ESME. Other publishing credits include Dr. Oz The Good Life, Woman’s Day, SELF, The Manifest-Station, 5280 Magazine, and The Denver Post. Nancy lives in Denver with her husband, Steve Saunders (the husband she “plucked” straight from the pages of a magazine) and their four children, ages fourteen through twenty-four.
