Dr. Gloria Horsley is an internationally recognized grief expert, licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Clinical Nurse Specialist. She is a clinical member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and is a past faculty member of the University of Rochester School of Nursing and the Academy of Intuition Medicine. She is a certified Reiki master, Enneagram teacher, and has taught for Byron Katie, Carolyn Myss, and Helen Palmer. She is founder and president of Open to Hope the world’s largest multi-media web based resource for the bereaved. She is a much sought after keynote speaker and workshop presenter.
Dr. Gloria co-hosts the award winning cable television and radio shows Open to Hope along with her daughter Heidi. She has produced hundreds of original YouTubes with experts in the field of grief recovery and has appeared on a number of radio and television shows including The Today Show. She has authored a number of books and articles, including In-laws a Guide to Extended Family Therapy and The In-law Survival Manual. She blogs for The Huffington Post and MADD (Mother’s Against Drunk Driving) and writes an advice column for The Compassionate Friends Magazine.
Dr. Gloria is co-author along with her daughter Heidi of seven books, including the President’s Award Winner, Real Men Do Cry; A Quarterbacks Inspiring Story of Tackling Depression & Surviving Suicide Loss and the award winning book, Finding Hope After Loss other books inclde Spouse Loss; Fresh Grief; Inspirational Stories for Handling the Holidays After Loss; Inspirational Stories of Healing After Loss; Teen Grief Relief: Parenting with Understanding Support and Guidance; and Signs and Hope From Heaven. She dedicates her work to her deceased son, Scott.
