In 2010, after 29 years with ABC News in Washington, D.C., editor and technical director Mike Kravinsky embarked on a new career in narrative filmmaking. Kravinsky has received both an Emmy and a Columbia Dupont awards for his work in news on shows like 20/20, Primetime Live and Good Morning America. Although much of what he learned creatively, technically and working on deadlines in Washington DC’s news world was transferrable to narrative films, there was still a substantial learning curve to go from reality to fiction.
