Sheri Perl

Sheri Perl is a spiritual healer and counselor, author, teacher, and interfaith minister. She became involved in spiritualism in a desperate attempt to save her life. At age sixteen, Sheri was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. After years of medical treatment, she was fighting for her life on the operating table. While recovering from surgery, a second illness contracted through blood transfusions was declared fatal. At this time Sheri contacted British spiritual healer, Harry Edwards, “purely out of desperation.” To her amazement, the healing stopped her illness in its tracks, and returned her liver functions to normal. As a result of this experience, Sheri opened the doors to spiritual exploration. She has studied with many great mediums and healers, eventually earning her doctorate in Therapeutic Counseling from the Open International University, Institute for Alternative Medicine. Her book, “Healing From the Inside Out” chronicles her experience with illness and spiritual healing and shares what she has learned along the way. In 2008, her 22-year-old son Daniel died of an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs. Needless-to-say, Sheri suffers greatly from this loss; however, what helps her is the knowledge that Daniel is safe in the spirit world and “connecting up” with him through thought, feelings, dreams, signs and reputable mediums. Sheri is currently working on a new book to share her perspective with others who are mourning. She recently created the PRAYER REGISTRY for parents who wish to join with others to send group prayers out to their child on the anniversary day of their passing. You can read more about Sheri and the Prayer Registry at her website, www.sheriperl.com or visit her own blog, “Loss, Bereavement and Connecting Up” at www.sheriperlmigdol.wordpress.com

Free Bird Incident: Deceased Son Gives Mom a Sign

A week or so after Danny passed, I was lying in bed, unable to bring myself to get up and get dressed.  My heart was heavy and I could think of no way to lighten it.  For lack of anything else to do, I opened my computer and began to look at the music that was listed in my iTunes library.  My eyes immediately locked on a song by the name of “Free Bird”. I had never listened to the song or had any interest in it before. It was included in a movie sound tract that I had previously […]

Keep Contact With Children Through Prayer Registry

I lost my son Danny on July 1, 2008, to an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs. He was 22 years old, a beautiful mountain of a kid with his whole life ahead of him, gone in an instant due to an error in judgment. In the last two and a half years since that harrowing day in July when his father and I discovered him, I have been on a mission to find Danny through any means available to me. I am currently working on a book to share some of the roads I have explored in my search […]

Prayer Registry Builds Hope and Community

My son Danny passed on July 1, 2008, from an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs. He was 22 years old, a beautiful mountain of a kid with his whole life ahead of him, gone in an instant due to an error in judgment. The day after he passed, while lying in bed not knowing what to do with myself, I sent out a mass email to everyone in my email address book, stating briefly that my son Dan had passed of an overdose and I asked everyone to please send him a prayer. It was kind of an instinctual […]

Stay Connected To Deceased Through Spirit

“Father, tell mother she has her son with her all day on Christmas Day. There will be thousands of us back in the homes on that day, but the horrid part is that so many of the fellows don’t get welcomed. Please keep a place for me. I must go now. Bless you again, father—Raymond.” From the book, “Raymond Or Life And Death” by Sir Oliver Lodge. When it comes to the holidays, everyone has his or her own way of coping, and there is no wrong or right way to do this. For me, however, there is only way […]

Mother ‘Connects Up’ with Deceased Son in Spirit Realm

I lost my son Danny to an overdose of alcohol and prescription drugs on July 1, 2008. He was 22 years old. I don’t have to tell any of you how devastating it is to bury or cremate a beloved child. No parent should ever have to live through it and yet we know that the number of us in this situation grows every day. To every other parent who is going through this, I offer my deepest condolences for your loss. I know that there are no words that I can say that can lessen your pain. I do […]

Where Is My Child and Is He Okay?

From the moment you become a parent there are two questions that become foremost in your mind: Where is my child and is he or she okay? Even when you are dealing with an infant who seldom leaves your side, you still get those moments. I can remember watching my babies when they were in deep sleeps to make sure that they were still breathing. Whenever I left them with a babysitter or at nursery school, throughout the time that I was separated from them, I would wonder where they were and if they were okay. I simply had to […]

Deceased Son Gives Mom a Sign She Can’t Deny

There are numerous ways to connect up with loved ones on the other side.  While some people experience the feeling of a presence around them, others can hear thoughts in their heads.  Most of us can catch a glimpse of our loved ones through our nightly dreams. All of these experiences are subjective.  We can never prove them, and they are basically not apparent to anyone but ourselves. However, now and then our loved ones will send a sign that is actually viewable in our physical reality.  Of course, you have to be open to it.  You can step right […]

Mother Describes Contact With Deceased Son

I have reason to believe that our prayers help our loved ones who have passed.  Children have come through mediums to me and clearly expressed that our prayers are felt and appreciated.  In fact, I have received this message from my son Daniel on three occasions, twice in a session with the medium Glenn Dove and once in session with the medium Roland Comtois! The first time I heard this message was in a reading with Dove on July 8, 2008, one week after Danny had passed.   Dove said this:   “I don’t know if somebody contacted a group that […]

Bond to Deceased Child Can Go On

From the moment you become a parent, there are two questions that become first and foremost in your mind:  Where is my child? Is he/she okay?  Even when you are dealing with an infant who seldom leaves your side, you still get those moments. I can remember watching my babies when they were in deep sleeps to make sure that they were still breathing.  And if I ever left them with a babysitter or at nursery school, I would wonder where they were and if they were okay.  I simply had to know. It’s a constant vigil the undermines everything else […]
