Al Johnson, an Episcopal Priest, has dedicated numerous years to serving as a parish priest, and presently, he contributes to Bishop Sean Rowe’s staff in Northwestern Pennsylvania and Western New York. Al’s journey has been marked by personal tragedy; his son Nicholas died of Leukemia in 1989. Driven by his own experiences with grief, Al pursued and earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree, devoting extensive hours to support the bereaved by delving into the intersection of spirituality and grief. Recently, Al authored the poignant memoir, “GRIEF SET FREE,” which offers insights and solace to those navigating the turbulent waters of loss and mourning. Through his ministry and writing, Al Johnson remains a beacon of compassion and understanding for those grappling with the complexities of grief.
