On this show Dr. Gloria and Dr Heidi Horsley interview Roy Davies, and Anne Castaldo about surviving the death of a son.  Roy and Anne both serve on the National Board of Directors for The Compassionate Friends. Roy lost 2 sons, Roy Jr. died at 20 of an undiagnosed heart condition, and Taylor died at 15 of a rare blood disorder.   Anne’s son Tony, died at 24 of a medical error.

Richard is the son of two holocaust survivors, and is currently the President of the International Association for Group Psychotherapy and Group Processes, he is on the faculty at Columbia University, New York Presbyterian Hospital, and Weill Cornell Medical College, and has a private practice in NYC. Paul Rubin is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in grief and loss, and the Executive Director of Camp Good Mourning in Long Island, a bereavement camp for children coping with the loss of a parent or sibling.

Alycia’s 19 yr. old son, and only child died in a car accident in 2016, she is an Associate Vice President for Learning and Academic Affairs at Anne Arundel Community College in Maryland, writes for Alive Alone, and is active in TCF and BP USA. In 2011, David’s wife died after she suddenly stopped breathing. Realizing how temporary life was, David lost 150 pounds, and became a health and wellness coach, specializing in weight loss.
