Judy Armijo, bereaved mother of Alexandra, and organ recipient Kevin Robinson join the group to discuss the impact of Alexandra’s decision to become a registered organ donor. Alexandra died tragically in a drowning accident. A clip is shown regarding LiveOnNY and organ donation. When we lose a loved one, the time we spend dealing with sadness surrounding that loss can vary daily, hourly or even minute-by-minute. Bart Sumner: Through Grief to Laughter

His son, David, died in 2009 from a football related brain injury. Barbara Allen: Helping Families Deal With Drug Overdose

Bob Resciniti: Child Loss

Henya Shanun-Klein: Parental Bereavement

In 1989, Henya Shanun-Klein lost her daughter, Gili, who was killed by a reckless driver. Her daughter was only eleven years old at the time. Shanun-Klein shares her story with the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC) to help others who are grieving the loss of a child.
