My son, my bestfriend

Jonathan came into this world on Aug 20, 1990. He was born with a head full of red hair. I was a single mom and was ready for our adventure. 5 year later I married a man and we had a daughter, Heather. I was content with my life, for awhile. I had one of each-a son and a daughter. 7 years later the marriage ended and I was back to being a single parent. The 3 of us were tight until Oct 16, 2009. My son was traveling from Hilton Head, SC to Summerville, SC for work. He had […]

A 16 wheeler truck came from behind, lost its balance due to high speed n the sharp turn and tilted and fell on our car. My mother and 12 year old sister were at the backseat and i lost them instantly. I was trapped in the wrecked car for 4 hours fighting for my life. Me and my dad survived but this life now is not worth living. […]

My Jimmy

Just read your link about holding hands, I didnt realize until I read that – how much that is missed. We too always held hands and they fit just right….I dont think there would ever be another hand that will fit so perfectly. Holding hands helped me feel better, safe, and loved. Jimmy had a motorcycle accident 2 blocks from my house on may 13 2008 – he was in hospitals and nursing homes for a torn spine until sept 11 2008 – the day he came home after much therapy , he learned how to walk again with a […]

If you have experienced the death of a sibling, and are interested in expanding our knowledge about the experience of sibling loss, then you would be a good candidate to complete this survey. 10 Years After Brother’s Suicide, Sister Remembers

By Cindy My mom runs a website for suicide awareness and prevention, in memory of my brother Keith. I admire her for this. My mom believes that Keith’s spirit is communicated through butterflies, dragonflies and jet trail X’s in the sky. I love this about my mom. My mom has asked me to write something for her website many times.  She used to ask me once a year to write something, every year around the time of Keith’s death. Finally she gave up and stopped asking, and I don’t blame her! The last time I wrote about Keith was shortly […]
